As I strolled through the cobblestone streets of Vigan, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and a palpable sense of community. The locals, adorned in traditional attire, welcomed visitors with warm smiles, creating an inviting ambiance even in the face of social distancing measures. The vibrant decorations, though modified for safety, retained the festive spirit, reflecting the city's commitment to preserving its cultural identity.


The lively tunes and infectious melodies of marching bands infuse a dynamic and exhilarating atmosphere into Vigan's vibrant festival. As these musical groups parade through the historic streets, their impeccable coordination is accentuated by their colorful uniforms and flawless arrangements. The resonance of brass instruments and drums fills the air, amplifying the festive ambiance amidst the colonial architecture. In short, the Vigan Festival was fantastic! The impressive parade, lively street dancing featuring marching bands and the Boy Scouts, was absolutely flawless. Kudos to ISNHS for emerging victorious in the marching band showdown. Vigan stands out with its historic structures and incredible festivities.
